This book gives a nice overview of Mitchel Resnick's approach to Microworld development using the Starlogo programming/modelling language. Starlogo is based on the original Logo language, developed by Seymour Papert in his own work with K-12 students. It differs from Logo in that it gives the student the ability to create large numbers of interacting turtles, leading to the exploration of many interesting phenomema of "emergent" systems.
