Abstract:

Generic Engineering is the discipline of designing and implementing highly parameterized generic architectures of components. In this paper we combine the recently proposed 3Cs model of reusable software components with the notions of separation of concerns and genericity to suggest a methodology for the support of generic engineering. In doing so we present a number of examples in Ada to illustrate the development process.
